I had the great opportunity to go down to Jackson Memorial Middle School to speak for their “Hooked on Fishing, not on Drugs” program. It was awesome to hang out with these kids that stay after school on their own time to talk fishing and plan their next trip.

man and owner of Vic’s Sports Center, and I spent about 2 hours talking about our career paths, fishing techniques, our boats, and answering any questions the kids had for us. One of the best parts was getting the kids in our boats, letting them push buttons, and getting to re-live the same curious youth fishing enthusiasm I had 15 some years ago. If this experience taught me anything, the future of our sport is bright.
