Jason and I kept the MO going with another solid finish in the Ashtabula LEWT. We worked hard for this one. After having a sour taste about mediocre finishes in the ‘out east’ events last year, I was determined to not let that happen again. This was a good start. We finished 6th/62 with 31.8lbs. The key was using the Fish Hawk to find and put the baits right on the thermocline. Geneva is next in early September, we’ll be ready to go for that one.

Next, Julia Buddie and I got the girls out for their favorite… some Lake Erie perching. Followed that up with the best Ontario Salmon trip I’d ever had with my dad and brother. Then the girls and I had a good ole camping trip at Findley State Park. These trips are just priceless, I love this time of year, I wish we could pause the season for a month or so…
