My little fishing girl Nora here loves to get in the Spring Fish Crazy Walleye Derby. For that matter, she loves all the derbies! It’s a great format, there is a kids division and each kid get matched with another kid as a part of the Kids Team Division. We had a few stellar days out there catching some bigguns. Nora’s best was this beauty at 7.97lbs which put her in 4th place in the overall standings. Her partner Jordan caught an 8.15lb, and together they got 2nd place in the Kids Team Division.
Its just a great was to have some daddy daughter time. One of the highlights: We caught the fish on an evening during the week after all the weigh stations were close. That meant we had to go in the morning and play hooky on the first hour or so of school to get her fish weighed. Nora thought that was so cool and had fun telling her classmates about the fish she caught! She actually did a presentation on it!
