We floated a short section of the Vermillion River yesterday with limited success.  Decided to bring a plug rod and some Off Shore boards along to try some new techniques.   Although it was the pins that produced, the plug fishing definitely has some potential and we look forward to tweaking out the presentations.  Next time we won't be in...
I just got my order in from Northland Tackle and that means its time to tie up some hair jigs for Spring Valley and the Erie Reef bite.  I can't wait to get the new boat and try these new jigs out!  In the background I'm watching the MWC tv shows from last years tourneys, talk about getting fired...
So my flight attendant yesterday, whom happens to be from Hawaii, says "Oh so you're from Cleveland and lived there your whole life?" Me: "Yup." Her, with a dead serious tone:  "Oh, you are so lucky. I'm jealous, I love Cleveland." Interesting perspective, not saying I don't agree, just kind of threw me off a bit, haha.
Just got my order from Off Shore Tackle, I feel like a kid on Christmas!  Time to go do some steelhead plug fishing with my new Mini-Planer Boards.    Or perhaps some live bait trolling for eyes out on the big pond in a few weeks!?!?  We'll see.... ;)
