The LEWT Championship of the weekend was a complete burn as we caught 80+ walleyes throughout the 2 day tournament. What fun fishing! I was really encouraged about the future of our fishery as we caught a ton of 16-20″ fish. I haven’t seen alot of that recently and it makes the future look bright! We did catch some nice fish as we weight 30.5lbs on Saturday and 33.3lbs on Sunday.
It was a total spinner bite, 40-60′ back on 3 oz weights with pinks and copper blades being the ticket. We had 2 primary spots, out by the weather bouy at the 40 21, and at the south end of the sandbar on the 31 18 line. 1.8 mph was the speed, have a blast if you can get out there.
Congrats to our teammates Scott and Jay for their second place fishing in the tournament, and in team of the year. And a big congrats to Gary and Nicholas Zart for locking down the Team of the Year! Great accomplishment. Also want to say thanks to my brother Kevin for fishing with me this year in the LEWT, we had a great time and some nice finishes!
Off to Winnebago in Wisconsin now for an MWC qualifier event!
