Cleveland – One of the top walleye anglers in America is from northeast Ohio. Ryan Buddie is a Rocky River native and graduate of St. Ignatius High School. These days he hunts walleyes around the country fishing on the two major tournament circuits, the Masters Walleye Circuit, and the National Walleye Tour. Buddie has won numerous awards, and is considered one of the best walleye guides on Lake Erie. While he fishes the tournament trail around the country, he says Lake Erie is still the best walleye fishery in the world. He fished this weekend in the Masters Walleye Circuit event in Huron. He has qualified for the Masters World Championship next month at Devil’s Lake in North Dakota. Next year’s world championship will be contested on Lake Erie.
